WHO WILL VISIT MY HOME FOR ESTIMATES?
As the business owners we insist on being the only ones to provide our customers with estimates and consultations. Keep in mind that we are not the kind of salesmen who are going to say what it is you may want to hear just to get the contract. We are honest, hardworking and most of all fair.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Since our beginning, we were taught to
go with products that have not only been on the market
for several years, but have a proven track record in
their reliability. New products tend to worry us and
scare most consumers. Studies show that 98% of new products
that hit the market are gone within a year. We prefer
our customers not be guinea pigs for a company seeking
to make its money using false claims to trick them.
We have consistently used the same vendors since we
started, and although most of them aren't the
biggest around, they certainly are some of the best.
WILL I FIND ANY HIDDEN OR EXTRA CHARGES ON MY BILL?
Many contractors make it a practice to
provide initial low end estimates and raise them due
to their so-called findings as the job
progresses. At Williamsburg Home Improvement we
make it our business to foresee any possible situations
ahead of time to keep our estimates at their original
figures. For example, if you decide to add a tiled backsplash
to your kitchen, we know that you will likely need to
have
your outlets and switch boxes upgraded. This will always
be in your estimate up front.
WHY WILLIAMSBURG HOME IMPROVEMENT?
The most important question of all. We
believe in what it is we do. The likelihood is that
you were referred to us by someone you know, which in
turn means that someone was very pleased with their
results. We treat our customers with
the utmost respect
and truly
value
their opinions. Finally we put out a work product that
is second to none at what all of our customers would
say is an extremely fair price.
WHEN ARE YOU AVAILABLE TO START THE JOB?
One of the biggest problems we face. While there are many benefits to it, scheduling is one our hardest issues. Some of our customers want to have a job commence immediately, and we do our best to accommodate. However, we never rush to finish a contract just to stay on schedule or to begin another one. Once we begin a job, we finish it.
HOW MANY CONTRACTORS SHOULD I CALL?
This is a more popular question. We want
our customers to contact as many as they feel necessary.
A good number is usually three. This will usually give
you a good idea of the scopes the contract may entail.
Even more importantly, we
recommend that our customers do their homework and research
the companies they intend on doing business with. Protect
yourself as much as possible. In New York City you can
contact
the
Department
of Consumer
Affairs @ 212-487-4075 to get a better idea of
the company's background, licensing & insurance status.
